The 30-Second Test

Three questions. If you have to guess on any of them, keep reading.

Answer from memory, right now. Not "it felt busy." Not "I think we're fine."

01

Did you make money last month?

Not revenue. Profit. Most owners know what came in. Few know what stayed.

02

How much can you safely take out this month?

Enough that you still cover payroll, your vendors, and next quarter's taxes.

03

How many weeks of cash do you have?

If revenue stopped tomorrow, how long could you pay your bills? Half of small businesses hold less than one month.

If you guessed on even one, you are running your business without information. You will learn about the problem about 60 days after you could have fixed it.

Why This Keeps Happening

The problem isn't that you're bad with money.

Most bookkeeping delivers a document, not a decision. Here is the difference.

Every bookkeeper you've tried

  • March's statements arrive in May. You made your March decisions in March.
  • A PDF arrives in your inbox with no explanation
  • You've had three different "dedicated" bookkeepers in two years
  • Your questions wait a week or more for an answer
  • Your CPA charges extra in April to fix a year of mistakes
  • Nobody has ever told you what the numbers mean

Slot Financial Services

  • Your statements arrive by the 10th, every month, on a date you can hold us to
  • A 45-minute call. We explain what changed and why.
  • You work with one person. You get a direct number. That person does not change.
  • We answer your questions the same business day
  • Books your CPA can file from, with no cleanup invoice
  • Every month you finish the call knowing what to do next
The Monthly Scorecard

Four steps. Then it repeats every month.

You do about 20 minutes of work in week one. After that, we handle it.

We review your books

You give us 20 minutes on a call. Then you connect your bank feeds and your accounting file. That is all we need from you.

Day 1

We clean and rebuild

We build a chart of accounts for your industry. We categorize your transactions and reconcile your accounts. We write down every dollar you are losing.

Days 2–10

You get the Scorecard

You get your P&L, balance sheet and cash statement. You also get the three numbers that drive your decisions, on one page.

By the 10th

We go through it together

We talk for 45 minutes. We cover what changed, what it means, what to do next, and what to watch.

The Pay-For-Itself Guarantee

Two guarantees. You cannot lose money on this offer.

Guarantee One

Your first month is free.

This is not a discount. We do not ask for a card. You get a full month of bookkeeping, real financial statements and a live call, and you pay nothing. If you don't like the work, you keep the books we built.

Guarantee Two

If it doesn't pay for itself, month two is free.

We guarantee we will find savings worth more than our fee. We look for overcharges, duplicate subscriptions, mispriced work and unpaid invoices. If we cannot show you those savings in writing by the end of month two, month two is free.

You can get two months of bookkeeping, two sets of financial statements and two strategy calls without spending a dollar. We get paid after we have already saved you money. We accept that risk because so far we have always found the savings.

Why This Matters

Most businesses that close never saw it coming.

These owners are not lazy and they are not careless. They found out too late.

48.6%

of small businesses are gone within five years of opening.

U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Business Employment Dynamics, 2025
54%

of owners have skipped or cut their own pay to cover payroll and bills.

Intuit QuickBooks Business Owner Report, 2026
39%

hit serious financial trouble last year because of one late payment.

Intuit QuickBooks Business Owner Report, 2026

Each of these is a timing problem, not a knowledge problem. Owners who see their statements on the 10th make better decisions than owners who see them in April.

Before You Ask

The things people want to know but don't ask.

What's the catch on the free month?

There is no catch. You get a full month of bookkeeping, real financial statements and a strategy call. We ask you for no money. If you leave after that month, you keep the books we built.

Here is why this works for us. Once you see clean books and understand them, you don't want to go back to guessing. We rely on that, not on a contract.

My books are months behind. Is that a problem?

No. Most people who call us are behind. On the first call we tell you how far behind you are and what the catch-up work involves. Nobody here will make you feel bad about it.

Who does my books? Will I get passed around?

You work with one person and you get their direct number. That person does not change. If we ever have to change it, we tell you first.

This is the most common complaint about national firms. One customer wrote: "I've had four different bookkeepers, none of whom stuck around." That will not happen here.

Do you lock me into a contract?

No. You pay month to month. You can cancel any month with no penalty and no exit fee.

Your books also stay in your QuickBooks account, under your login. If you leave, you take the file, the history and the chart of accounts with you.

I already have an accountant. Do I need this?

Yes, and your accountant will thank you. Your CPA files your taxes once a year. They do not track your margins in month four. They do not tell you whether you can afford a second truck in June.

We do the monthly work and your CPA does the filing. Your CPA gets a clean packet, and you stop paying cleanup fees every April.

What if you don't find any savings?

Then month two is free. You get two months of bookkeeping and two strategy calls for nothing. We put this in writing.

One honest note: savings are rarely in one large item. They sit in duplicate software subscriptions and vendor prices nobody has renegotiated. They sit in unpaid invoices, work priced below cost, and payroll that outgrew revenue. We almost always find something.

What software do you use? Do I have to switch?

We use QuickBooks Online in most cases. If your current system works, we work in it. If you have no system, we set one up during the free month. The account stays in your name.

What kind of business is this for?

We work with owner-operated businesses between $250,000 and $3 million in revenue. Our clients include restaurants, trades, retail, professional services and wellness businesses.

Your industry matters less than your situation. You run the business, and the finances keep moving to Sunday night.

How much of my time does this take?

Setup takes about 20 minutes. The monthly call takes 45 minutes. We do not chase you for receipts every week and we do not send you homework.

◆ Onboarding 4 new clients this month

You already know what the books look like.

The question is whether you want to guess for another quarter. One call takes 20 minutes. The first month costs you nothing. If it doesn't pay for itself, the second month is free.
